Pants

パンツ can apparently, according to accent, mean both underwear and trousers. How confusing.

Further, from an interesting conversation with friends, I have learnt that Japanese men do not wear white pants because it has a very young school-boy image. You might want to bear this in mind if you plan on dating Japanese women ;)
