How would you translate this? A direct translation doesn’t seem to make sense: ‘don’t look’.

Is this something like, ‘What the &$#” are you looking at?’ That’s my best interpretation so far – especially considering tone of voice.

  2. Actually, those kind of expression are alway in manga or used by highschool boys.
    The translation would be..
    みているじゃないよ
    Which basically means that I am not looking!

    It does actually mean “Dont look at me!”.

  4. Your translation is from Japanese to Japanese which isn’t too helpful!
    Yeah, I know what it means just from context but I wondered if anyone had actually been taught exactly what it means, or how a bilingual person would translate it.
